The Department of Comprehensive Geography participates in the international project TUD COST (European Cooperation in Science and Technology) Action TU1201:

Urban Allotment Gardens in European Cities – Future, Challenges and Lessons Learned


Urban garden plots in European cities? future, challenges and experience gained.

The main objective of the project is to deepen the knowledge about the importance of allotments for sustainable development, as well as to recognize their role in the spatial, ecological and social structure of European cities.
Interdisciplinary research, conducted simultaneously in several European countries, will allow to develop common principles and policies that support the role and place of allotment gardens in planning spatial development of cities.

The Department of Complex Geography of Adam Mickiewicz University is represented by: prof. dr hab. Andrzej Mizgajski, prof.dr hab. Leon Kozacki, dr Lidia Poniży, mgr Wojciech Rosik, mgr Jacek Zatoński.
